Firoz Thairinil

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Firoz leads the group wide businesses ensuring that a strong commitment to high standards and a performance culture are embedded across the entire group business. Coming from a BFSI background with strong management credentials, he has led Westford from very humble beginnings in 2008 from a small training academy to an international network of business schools having students from 40 nationalities across the globe. During his last position in the capacity of Country Head – Retail Banking Sales for a large bank in UAE, Firoz was driven by his vision to engage in the education industry. His keen intent to contribute in the rapid transformation of the education industry, which had started to leverage technology to disrupt the existing models of education making it more accessible and affordable.

Firoz holds dual MBA’s, first from the University of Wales, UK (Marketing) and second from TIU, Missouri, US (Banking & Finance).

Samras Mayimi

Co-founder and Executive Director

Samras leads the strategic initiatives of the organization and is vested with the responsibility to steer the strategic expansion of the group, managing the delivery channels, marketing and business development, sustaining and growing the existing partnerships as well as developing new associations and affiliations with external partners. In addition to driving sales and marketing functions, Samras manages the corporate affairs and PR of the organization and support organizing functions including product and customer support services, branding, advertising, , marketing research and relationship marketing. Samras is also responsible to drive the corporate training vertical and leads the institutional business development function. Samras possess more than 18 years of experience in BFSI and Education domain and is a management graduate with a bachelors from Mangalore University and a PGDBA from University of Wales, UK.

Hanil Das

Co-founder and Executive Director

Hanil spearheads and oversees the group wide operations and academic services, business development, sales and marketing and other key internal functions that supports the daily work flow of the organization. Hanil directs, coordinates and administers the entire aspect of all the programs including planning, organizing, scheduling, staffing and implementation. Hanil oversees the end to end aspect of student admissions from enrolment to certification stage and plays an instrumental role in leading the marketing and sales strategy and supported marcom activities. Hanil is in the education industry for the last five years and has more than a decade of experience in the senior managerial level in the banking industry in varied roles including sales, operations and administration. Hanil is a Commerce graduate, an MBA from Bangalore University and PG Dip in Strategic Management from RVIM, Bangalore.

Mashrook Ali

Co-founder and Executive Director

Mashrook is vested with the responsibility to expand the reach to new territories internationally, with a special focus on MENA region. Online learning being a key component in today’s world, Mashrook has been instrumental in launching the online learning propositions in the African, GCC and Levant region having appointed partners and representatives to deliver the programs offered by us. Mashrook has more than a decade of experience in the banking industry having worked with Emirates NBD in a senior managerial capacity. Mashrook is a Business Management graduate from Mangalore University, India and was a student of Executive MBA from the prestigious S.P Jain Management Institute, Dubai.

Anil Ahluwalia

Executive Director – Academic

Anil has more than 30 years of experience covering Indian Defence, Education and Teaching. Anil heads the academic functions of the group responsible for the academic planning, evaluation and assessment administration, curriculum development, academic resources development, accreditation and managing quality and standards. Anil has taught at leading universities and business schools and is also a master Trainer. In addition to academia, Anil had successful stints in the corporate world being an outstanding leader in the domain of Corporate, HR and Business Management Services. He was also extensively involved in Training while serving in the Indian Army and was deputed by the Indian Government to train the Botswana Defence Force.

Dr William Painter


William is responsible for management programs including MBA, Executive MBA and PG Diploma that come under the WEG group. He would be supporting the senior management to developing the international strategy, and in particular issues relating to the internationalization process, international alliances and international marketing and also advise the management on product development, curriculum design and academic quality standards.

He has been active in international private and public post-secondary and higher education since 1988. He has worked with leading Business schools such as Groupe Ecole Superieure de Commerce, NCC Education, Laureate Online Education as the International Director and late assumed the role of Chief Academic Officer for the University of Liverpool/Laureate partnership .He has also served as Chair of the Social and Culture Studies Department for Stephens College, Dean of International Studies for City Vision University, and Executive Director of Bellevue University’s Center for Online Studies where he managed all product development and online courses.

Dr. Painter took his undergraduate degree from North Texas State University, his Master’s degree from the University of North Texas, and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
